Spice marinated meat or shellfish baked with aromatic whole spices and rice. An elegant North Indian classic originally brought to India by Muslim travellers and merchants. Popular in various incarnations from Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, to Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

A classic Indian rice dish as deeply treasured as paella or risotto. A wonderfully elegant dish of spice marinated meat or shellfish baked with rice and spices. Whole cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and hand-blended spices produce a heady aromatic dish fit for a king (or Moghul emperor).

This kit contains: 2 sets of step by step measured spice sachets (numbered 1 to 3); enough for 2 meals for 4 people, or 1 meal for 8 people; a recipe instruction card; and a shopping list of the fresh ingredients. Designed to give you maximise results with minimum effort.
