Whole Cloves

Hot fruity flavour with peppery notes and an exceptional aromatic strength. Highly regarded in Europe, Northern Africa and much of Asia. It is an important component of Sri Lankan cooking, and extensively used in the Mogul cuisine of Northern India. Throughout the East cloves tend to be used with meat and savoury dishes whereas in Europe they appear with sweet rather than savoury.

Cloves when chewed whole are a natural mouth freshner.
