Roast beef with Japanese seven spices

Japanese Seven Spice transforms a classic roast beef with just a slight of hand.

Ingredients

1 Tbsp Japanese Seven Spice
1kg piece of roasting beef
1 tbsp of oil

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 240°C.
Place the beef in a roasting tin and drizzle with oil. Season lightly with salt.
Place in the oven for 30mins (for 15mins per 500g for rare + 15mins for medium rare). Turn the rost once during the cooking time.
Once removed from the oven sprinkle with the Japaese Seven Spice and allow to rest for 15mins before carving
